High Tack Acrylic

Technibond HTA with film liner is the first choice foam tape for "Georgian" or "Cottage" bars on uPVC windows. We supply window system manufacturers, and installers. For manufacturers, we can install bobbin unwind equipment on your production line to ensure no loss of productivity.

  • Film liner allows quick and accurate positioning
  • Available white or black according to your preference
  • Very strong instant bond
  • 1mm thick is generally the best option
  • 2 or 3mm thick is preferred by some customers

Techniflex

Solid Acrylic Tapes and Foam Tapes

Techniflex all acrylic tape is the high performance option.

Features

  • Withstands flexing and movement better
  • Very strong bond, no possibility of foam splitting
  • Best applied in the factory
  • We recommend Techniflex White or Black, 2mm thick

These are high performance structural bonding tapes for use in critical and demanding applications particularly where resistance to flexing is required. The acrylic core will absorb movement better than p.e foams, making Techniflex particularly suitable for outdoor applications such as signs and doors where diurnal cycles cause thermal movements. Available in Glass Clear, White, Grey or Black in a variety of thicknesses, and cut to any width roll required.

A very high shear cross-linked pure acrylic adhesive coated on a tough but flexible PE foam carrier, and supplied as standard on our production aid film liner.

Features

  • Extremely high tack for rapid bonding to most materials
  • Good adhesion to low energy materials
  • Good adhesion to rough and uneven materials
  • Bonds well at low temperatures
  • Good resistance to water, solvents and plasticizers
  • Excellent resistance to UV light and weathering
  • Available in a wide range of options

Limitations

  • HSA requires good application pressure in warm conditions for best results
  • Due to the firm nature of the adhesive, it will not bond easily to rough materials
  • Due to its chemical nature, HSA will not bond well to low surface energy materials
