DOUBLE SIDED THIN TAPES Thin double sided tapes providing close contact even if one or both surfaces are flexible. They offer good to excellent performance in the following categories:

big thin tapes
  • To low and high energy surfaces

  • To rough surfaces

  • To low temperatures

  • Resistance to UV & plasticisers

T555

Our benchmark double-sided thin tape

At just 0.13 mm in thickness, T555 bonds to most materials and resists most environmental conditions. Truly multipurpose, this high shear, crosslinked modified acrylic adhesive coated on a thin tissue carrier is also economical enough for most applications.

Features

  • Good shear for long term load bearing
  • High tack for rapid bonding to most materials
  • Good adhesion to low energy materials
  • Very high adhesion to glass, metals, paints and most plastics
  • Good high and low temperature performance
  • Good resistance to water, solvents and plasticizers
  • Excellent resistance to UV light and weathering a great value product

T577

Made for low energy substrates

T577 was designed to provide excellent adhesion on difficult, flexible close-fitting substrates, such as polyethylene, polypropylene and high gloss coatings. Its high tack acrylic adhesive is coated on a thin tissue carrier and comes in at 0.16 mm in thickness.

Features

  • Good shear for long term load bearing
  • Very high tack for rapid bonding to most materials
  • Very good adhesion to low energy materials
  • Very good adhesion to slightly rough or textured materials
  • Good high and low temperature performance
  • Good resistance to UV light and weathering
  • A great value product

T556 and T556RF

High shear and high tack

At a super-thin thickness of 0.13 mm, these tapes coated on a polyester film offer excellent water resistance and reinforce stretchy materials. They are ideally suited to die-cutting, bobbin winding and multiple extrusion applications such as weather seals and ticketing strips. With their high shear and high tack, they enable great adhesion on most flexible close-fitting surfaces.

Features

  • Good shear for long term load bearing
  • High tack for rapid bonding to most materials
  • Good adhesion to low energy materials
  • Very high adhesion to glass, metals, paints and most plastics
  • Good high and low temperature performance
  • Good resistance to water, solvents and plasticizers
  • Excellent resistance to UV light and weathering

9274

For rough and uneven surfaces

Thicker than most of our double-sided thin tapes, 9274 comes in at 0.26 mm and consequently is great for gap-filling and bonds well on textured and slightly rough materials, including MDF. Its thick, high tack, modified acrylic adhesive is coated onto a robust white PVC carrier, making 9274 ideal for many demanding applications in the signage industry.

Features

  • Very high tack bonds immediately to almost all materials
  • Excellent results on rough and textured surfaces
  • Good gap-filling on uneven mouldings and extrusions
  • Extremely high final adhesion on paints, metals and PVC
  • Good shear performance
  • Resists water solvents and plasticizers
  • Excellent ageing and UV resistance

T567

Versatility for point of sale applications

At the thicker end of our double-sided thin tapes, T567 has a 0.22 mm thickness and is suited to almost any job, sticking to most surfaces and resisting most weather conditions. This high coat weight, modified acrylic adhesive coated on a transparent polypropylene film is a popular choice among distributors and those in the point of sale industry. Affordably priced, it is our best-selling thin tape.

Features

  • Very high tack bonds immediately to almost all materials
  • Excellent results on smooth and slightly rough surfaces
  • Extremely high final adhesion on most materials
  • Good shear performance
  • Resists water solvents and plasticizers
  • Excellent ageing and UV resistance

T549

High performance on all fronts

T549 is our best-performing double-sided thin tape and as a result, is suited to most applications. It bonds to rough surfaces and low energy materials, resists very high temperatures, water, solvents and UV light and even has good transparency. This high coat weight, modified acrylic adhesive coated on a transparent polypropylene film comes in at 0.20 mm in thickness.

Features

  • Very high tack bonds immediately to almost all materials
  • Excellent results on smooth and slightly rough surfaces
  • Extremely high final adhesion on most materials
  • Good shear performance
  • Resists water solvents and plasticizers
  • Excellent ageing and UV resistance

431

A permanent adhesion tape

The most unique of our thin double-sided tapes, 431 offers permanent adhesion but even after long periods of time can be cleanly removed from most sealed surfaces without leaving adhesive behind. It is the thickest of our range at 0.30 mm and offers a high tack, modified dispersion acrylic adhesive coated on a very strong woven cloth.

Features

  • High tack adhesive bonds to most surfaces including metals, paints, foams, rubbers, plastics and textiles
  • Balanced adhesion allows clean removal even after prolonged contact and on many plasticised materials
  • Thick fabric is very conformable and easy to handle
  • Good resistance to UV light and ageing
  • Ideal for many temporary bonding application

Frequently Asked Questions

We slit most of our products to order, so we have no standard roll width. If you want 13mm or 133mm, you can have it.

As a standard, the minimum is 6mm. We can slit most products narrower than this (we have slit down to 1.6mm) but we charge the same per roll as if it were 6mm, due to the increased slitting and packaging difficulty and the increased waste. The maximum width depends on the product, but is usually at least 1 metre.

We hold large quantities of bulk rolls in stock and manufacture to order. That's the only way we can offer the number of products and product variations that we do.

UK deliveries on rolls, 3 to 5 working days. Spools, pads and die-cuts are 10 working days. If your order is urgent, please speak to our sales department and we'll try to help. Export orders are subject to longer delivery times.

Our MOQ on most rolls is £100. On rolls of Techniflex and on other formats it is £200.

On UK orders over £200 delivery is free. On orders between £100 and £200 we add a small order charge of £20. We can arrange a.m. and courier deliveries for additional charges.

As our products are made to order, we cannot generally accept returns unless the goods are faulty.

We are proud to guarantee the quality and performance of all our products and will quickly provide a replacement or refund if they fail to meet our standards.

Yes, we export around the world. Currently we export to Europe, the Far East, Australia and the US.
